Comparison

Saidly vs Promptwatch

Updated August 2026

Saidly and Promptwatch both tell you how your brand shows up in AI answers, and they are built for different budgets and different jobs. Promptwatch is a broad AI search visibility platform: about ten AI surfaces, crawler log analytics, citation tracking, and content tooling, from $95 a month. Saidly is narrower and much cheaper: the four flagship assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok), scored for sentiment and tracked over time, from $2.99 a month.

Pricing below is Promptwatch's public pricing as of August 2026. Vendors change plans often, and Promptwatch does not publish a per-tier feature breakdown we could read, so we are not going to guess at one. Check their pricing page for what each tier includes.

What is the difference between Saidly and Promptwatch?

Promptwatch is aimed at SEO and growth teams who treat AI search as a channel to be worked. Its feature list leans technical: which AI crawlers hit your site and when, which pages get cited, offsite citation tracking across places like Reddit and YouTube, and tooling to generate content off that data. That is a real discipline, and $95 a month is a normal price for it.

Saidly answers two narrower questions and tries to answer them well. First, what do Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok actually say about you, scored 0 to 100 per model, with a representative quote, the recurring themes, and the sources each model cited. Second, when a buyer asks for what you sell, do those models name you at all. Saidly is made by WoodFire Digital LLC.

If you are new to the category, the plain-English guide to AI visibility monitoring covers the terms, and GEO vs AEO untangles the acronyms.

How much does each one cost?

Promptwatch publishes four tiers: a free Explore plan, then Essential at $95, Professional at $245, and Business at $579 a month. Saidly publishes three: Starter $2.99, Pro $13.99, Business $49.99, with yearly billing at a flat 10 percent off. Saidly's most expensive plan costs roughly half Promptwatch's cheapest paid one.

That gap is a positioning difference, not a trick. Promptwatch is doing more things, including crawler log ingestion and content tooling, and those cost money to run. The question is whether you need them. If price is your filter, affordable AI visibility tools puts the wider field side by side.

Does tracking ten AI surfaces beat tracking four?

Not automatically, and this is the comparison worth thinking about rather than counting. Saidly tracks four surfaces on purpose. Perplexity, DeepSeek, Meta AI, and Google AI Overviews were dropped from the product in June 2026 because most buyers do not use them by name, and a couple of them have no clean API, which means whatever you measure there is a scrape rather than the product itself.

If your customers genuinely use Perplexity or Copilot, Promptwatch covers ground Saidly does not, and that is a real reason to pick it. If your customers use ChatGPT and Gemini like most people do, four grounded surfaces on every plan answers the question at a fraction of the price. Either way, the four rarely agree with each other, which is its own finding: why the models disagree about you.

Which one tells you whether AI recommends you?

Both, in different shapes. Promptwatch approaches it through citations and prompt tracking. Saidly approaches it through the answer itself: a category watch tracks a buyer question, like "best running shoes for flat feet", and shows the full list each model gives, in order, with alerts when a position moves or an unfamiliar name appears. You can see a one-model version of that right now with no account on the free check.

This matters more than it used to. A marketer built a deodorant brand that does not exist, spent about eleven dollars on a domain, and had ChatGPT naming it to shoppers three weeks later, above a product with clinical testing. We wrote that up in fake brands in AI answers. The brands sitting next to it had no way to know.

Credit where it is due

Promptwatch publishes original data on AI search, and it is good work. Their tracking caught ChatGPT's share of citations going to Reddit falling from 3.8 percent to under 1 percent in mid-August 2026, with Google's AI answer features sliding more gently over the same weeks. We cite it on our own pages about why models disagree and AI poisoning, including their own caveat that a data-collection issue cannot be ruled out. A competitor doing honest public research is worth reading.

Who should pick Saidly, and who should pick Promptwatch?

Pick Promptwatch if AI search is a channel you actively work, you want crawler and log analytics, you need surfaces beyond the big four, or you want content tooling built off citation data, and a budget starting at $95 a month fits.

Pick Saidly if you want to know what Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok say about you, whether they name you when a buyer asks, and how that moves week to week, at a price that does not need approval. Reports land in your inbox on your schedule instead of waiting in a dashboard.

Honest answer for some readers: if you only want to know where you stand today, run the free check and buy nothing. It needs no account.
